Nuri Bilge Ceylan yüzyılın 100 filmi listesinde

BBC, 21. yüzyılın en iyi 100 filmini seçti.

BBC’nin belirlediği 177 sinema eleştirmeni, 2000 yılından bu yana yapılan en iyi filmleri seçerken, listede yalnız ya da başka bir yönetmenle beraber film çeken kadın yönetmenlere ait 12 film de listede yer aldı.

Listede Wes Anderson, Joel ve Ethan Coen kardeşler, Michael Haneke ve Christopher Nolan’ın 3’er filmi yer alırken, sinema severlerin büyük kısmı Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’nun hiçbir filmiyle listeye girememiş olması sebebiyle BBC’ye tepki yorumları yaptı.

Nuri Bilge Ceylan’ın Bir Zamanlar Anadolu’da adlı filmi listenin 54. sırasında yer aldı. Cannes Jüri Büyük Özel Ödülü sahibi olan Bir Zamanlar Anadolu’da filminde Taner Birsel, Muhammet Uzuner, Yılmaz Erdoğan, Ahmet Mümtaz Taylan, Fırat Tanış ve Ercan Kesal rol alıyordu. Film, bir cinayetin etrafında bir doktor ile savcının 12 saatlik gerilimli öyküsünü konu alıyordu.

David Lynch’in Mullholland Çıkmazı/Mullholland Drive filmi liste başı olurken, Won Kar-Wai’nin In the Mood for Love filmi ikinci, Paul Thomas Anderson’ın There will be Blood filmi üçüncü oldu.
