ABD’de her yıl televizyon yapımlarına verilen ve bu alandaki en önemli ödül olan Emmy için adaylıklar açıklandı. Game of Thrones dizisinin 23 dalda aday gösterildiği yarışta ilginç bir sonuç da ortaya çıktı. ”En İyi Yardımcı Erkek Oyuncu” dalında Game of Thrones dizisinden Peter Dinklage ve Kit Harington, ”En İyi Yardımcı Kadın Oyuncu” kategorisinde ise Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke ve Maisie Williams ödül için birbiriyle yarışacak.
The Americans ve Mr. Robot dizileri de Emmy yarışında adaylıklarda öne geçen yapımlar arasında yer aldı.

Limitli seri, her sezon ayrı bir cast ile devam eden dizilere deniliyor. Mesela Fargo, True Detective, American Horror Story limitli seri. Çünkü cast her sezon değişiyor. Başka oyuncular diğerlerinin yerlerini alıyor. Game of Thrones için ise kimse başrol sayılmıyor. Çünkü eşit oynuyorlar. Mesela bir Travis Fimmel’ın Vikings dizisinin başrol oyuncusu olması gibi değil. Herkes Yardımcı Oyuncu yani. A’dan Z’ye.
